    Haven’t posted much lately, been busy since the girlfriend and I got custody of her 12 year old niece a couple months back. But I’ve made time to pick up a couple roadside scrounges now that things have quieted down. Got a good mix of some maple, cherry and locust. There’s been a decent amount of scroungable wood available lately it seems.

    Little loads that you may hoard
    will eventually become a cord
    Split and stack it in a row
    rick by rick your pile will grow
    Then fill your wood stove nice and tight
    to warm you through the winter night
    The fire will flicker, embers glow
    as the woods outside fill up with snow
