apparently effective 12:24 today the funny picture thread has been locked down. Sounds like someone must of had their shorts twisted into a tight knot....................

 

Guess someone didn’t think the picture was funny!!

 

Censorship is one of the perks of living in a democracy.......................................

 

Just set one up as a PM for those who contributed or liked posts and we can continue to share funny pictures... if people don’t want to continue to see them, they can opt out.. easy to do... you can include me. Others who want to be included can post here...

 

It's been a terrible, horrible, very bad week for some.

 

By and large, I have gotten a lot of laughs out of the thread and would like to see it continued. Let me hasten to add that I have worked in construction all my life and have developed strong filters. Also have a fairly thick skin! That being said, I have noticed a trend to the abrasive, and a few posts recently that are a bit raunchy. I wouldn't bat an eye on a construction site but out of place here. The gun posts (which I personally mostly agree with) could be quite pushy to some. I don't know the straw that broke the camels back, but I know I would not resent some stronger controls on content. This is just one thread in a greater theme about firewood. The Moderators on this site have a responsibility to all members, not just a few. This is a tough task as we all come from different experiences and backgrounds. We have a quality group of Moderators here and I support any final decisions they make. My $.02

 

Someone upset about something that may or may not have happened this week or some other point in time?

 

Eh, I looked at that thread for a while, but it got to a point that I didn't think funny, or maybe it was repetitious, or something - I really don't remember. I just quit going to look at it. Easy enough not to get offended or take anything too seriously that way.

No one wants to see your post. Put it away and stop playing with it.

 

I do NOT like the gun or hunting sections on here, guess what I do not go in them. Simple fix, if I did I would make posts that would really pizz off people.

 

It's not about being offended, or censorship, or even politics, it's about respect. At some point everyone here agreed to the terms and guidelines of being a member, it's disrespectful to agree to them and then behave otherwise.

 

and who is the judge and jury? I've seen lots of things on here that I may find offends my respectability level. But if I don't like a movie, I just pull up my "Big Boy" pants and move to another theater............................

 

The no politics is pretty cut and dry, the respectability aspect is up to the mods who, in my opinion are pretty level headed and do a great job.

 

With 5,751 members, someone, somewhere on the 22 catagories of FHC will find something that does not agree with them EVERYDAY.................. It's their personal choice how they resolve it.
