Now that you have that, you will be able to justify buying about $2000+more in tools... if she asks, just remind her that she started it!!
Let us know how you like it, I would love to get one at some point, and of course I would need a muscle bigger saw to go along with it.
Nice new toy. Never milled logs either. Now you'll be road side milling logs too! Do you have a way to get long logs home? Someone milled some sugar maple in a guys yard not far from here. Still some slabs and wood there. Id take it but a gnarly yard tree.
No machines just brute strength lol, ill mill big ones on my own property rt where they fall. I still havnt tried it. I just asked JB Sawman if i had to get a ripping chain or if i can just use the regular chain on my 576
I too have one but have not yet used it. I got the ripping chain so advised from all the wise minds on this forum. What size did u get?
Yup, i had stopped there and talked to the home owner inquiring about the wood. He had someone coming to cut some. Went by couple weeks later and i saw the milled log. I wasnt that enthused about it any how being a knotty gnarly yard tree. There was some decent smaller logs though. It might still be there.
This was from all the Asplundh cutting in the area. I found it later on. He lives very close to the yard in question. buzz-saw is a new member who by pure coincidence lives in the same town. We're gonna find out if this town is big enough for two buzzsaws!
Hard to believe. This has to be one of the funniest things ever. Two buzz-saws in the same town and had no clue. Big enough for two in the same town...……….. Small town ; Hey Brad have you packed your bags yet?
Have you considered this new buzzsaw just may be the missus keeping track of you? Very suspicious, very very suspicious. (In my best colonel Klink voice)
Im thinking the new buzz-saw might actually be buZZsaw BRAD why he would do it other than inhaling too many chainsaw fumes i dont know but someone needs to get to the bottom of this.
Ya i told her that and she said isnt that the whole reason for being called a “portable mill “you take it to the big logs i tried
