This thing cycles sooooo much faster than the old 30 year one I was borrowing from the uncle. Made pretty quick work of some standing dead pine, oak, beech and cherry. Getting going early on next year
Nice! One thing I had to discipline myself when I first got the splitter, was to keep from splitting the chunks too small! Just got carried away, I guess.
I have the same splitter and went through about two cords today. It works great, sometimes I wish it was faster like a kinetic, but I love that it goes vertical when I need to do a huge round. I welded a simple log catcher tack that bolts on via stock attachment points. Good splits!
I also bought this exact splitter a few months ago! I bought the bolt-on table for it and that is a lifesaver. When you split a large round, the one half doesn't fall on the ground it's on the table so you don't have to pick it up off the ground! Saves lots of wear & tear on my soon to be 67 year old back I've split around 6 cords with it so far and it has handled everything I've thrown at it.
