But the mud makes the rocks slide easier!

 

When your movin the big uns with this machine you don't lift them, you pull them along with the hoe. The mud was getting thick and slippery! But it made sliding the rocks easier. LOFL Weeeeee

 

I do have to say though. For a machine this size, this thing has a lot of power. To pull some of these rocks up and out of their holes is impressive. I would not have been able to touch many of them with the Kubota I had.

 

Impressive . some of those rocks are in the 5 to 6 ton range !

 

Very cool Gas. It was good that the slippery mud making the rocks slide easier, didn't also make your tires slip too. Nice job. It's gonna look great back there.

 

Allan, if you look at the fifth picture in the first post, to the right of the camp. The two big guys in the middle, one of which I named "Little Timmy" in another thread, are pretty large rocks. I do believe that they might be in the five ton range. Here is the loader specifications for the machine. With a bucket breakout force of 8430 lbs., those rocks are heavy when you can't get them off the ground at all!

Oh Stinny, I was sliding around quite a bit. But the machine is pretty sure footed. When it starts getting really slippery, I had to push on the "lock" button and engage the differential lock. Should have listened to Mom. Eh? I still had to use the backhoe a few times, assisting myself while in reverse gear, to pull myself out of a few spots! GOOD TIMES!

 

Years of operating a log loader you get to know the weight of things. A large boomstick, 66' long, 16"at the top, 36" at the butt is around 5 to 6 tons. Over the years I have had to pick up many rocks off the road and your larger rocks have to weigh in the same range if not more!

 

Never had any big toys like that, but it sure looks like fun. There is a big lot across the street from me. End on a dead end street. There was a young fella who just started up with his own business. He was building up an old log road. The guy who bought the property is going to put a house in there about 700 ft in from the street. Anyway, he had all sorts of equipment to work with. He even had a roller to pack the gravel road down. Gave this old goat some entertainment for a while. Gas, you are a real worker bee. Can't imagine where you get your energy.

 

I love that backhoe! Fairly small size, but man that thing looks like it can do some real work. I have family that has a big JD, but I have never owned one myself. A few skid loaders and a loader tractor, but that think you have looks like it could do it all

 

Thanks saves! Well. My parents both have an excellent work ethic. And passed it along to us kids. 9 of us! I guess you have to have a hell of a work ethic to do a great job of raising 9 kids! And that is just what they did. Can't thank them enough. Both are 80 now, been married 60 years!

And there is this kind of stuff.


I try to stay away from the Red Bull. And I try to go heavier on the water all the time. But once and a while when I need a real boost I will drink one of the small cans. (8.4 oz) The blue edition taste a little better. (A little)

 

Thanks Carbine. I found it slightly used. I could not afford to buy anything like that new. I have a bucket, pallet forks, and a snow plow for the front. I really want to get a grapple some day for moving brush/rocks/etc. But they are expensive. Maybe some day. The only down size is you can't take the backhoe off. But it is worth it, it is built way stronger that way. So I found a nice used tractor for the 3-point work stuff.

 

How many of those rocks do you have?

They look like handy little machines with a ton of power for there size. We have some at work but i have not run one. Ran a lot of bigger stuff when i used to move dirt for a living.

 

This is one of the best tools ever for a tractor. The York rake. Raining off and on lightly today. I was able to level everything off that was ready for it. When this wet, everything is clumpy. Now it is time to wait for it to dry out.
