Nice machine. Just curious why you don’t lower the 4 way after you break up the big round with the first pass through?
Does it come with a 6 or 8 way wedge? Looks like it had plenty of power for either

So can I ask why you weren’t using a the 6 or 8 way or whatever the biggest wedge you have? Just curious

It was a bit more difficult for me to manage that many pieces from a large round when I hit with six way. Maybe with another helper it would be ok.

The more I see these Wolfe ridge splitters, the more I like them. I like pass through splitters. I like log lifts, and decent sized work tables. I also like that that are made in my state.

The first 18 cord through it and some of the powder coat has worn through on the top of the beam and the leading edge of the knifes. That’s it! I’m very pleased. Operating controls are easy to operate and standing position is upright. Big investment in a hobby and I think it will pay for itself in two seasons. It will partially depend on how well I can scrounge another 5-7 cord next month.

What's the height of the beam?

I don’t know. Call Chris at WR and ask him. I’m 6’ and the round was 32-34” in video.

I have a Timberwolf tw6 with both a 4 way and a 6 way. There is no doubt these are machines most efficiently run with at least 2 people. If I’m running the controls and have decent wood, I can keep 2 guys moving the whole time. My 6 way hardly ever comes off.

Just picked up a 7x12’ 14k dump trailer. I’m open for business. 1A16011D-77D9-4116-A868-A432B4BB7E17.jpeg

Would love to have a nice dump trailer but that requires money and a place to put it. But then I think of all the new friends I would have by owning one. Maybe someday, over the rainbow.

Nice machine . One thing I do with my T-5 is when I’m splitting big stuff that needs to be split again is I lower the log lift a bit and stack the wood on it . Keeps from bending over as much .

Today was 46 and sunny . Had a big 20 ft trailer load of logs and split it all with my T-5 in 2 hours by myself . I know what you mean jrider about having a hand or 2 . I bought a used belt conveyor recently and it’s a huge time saver . Probably split close to 2 full cords today in a few hours . All the split ash is inside the barn too !

I don’t know what a big 20’ trailer volume measurement is. How many cord in 2 hours is that?
