What would be a good used or maybe new pellet stove for a small 3 season room? I currently use a large Classic Bay 1200 to heat from the basement up but thinking about adding a second stove for that room .

A friend had the same thing...a 3 season room that he heated with an Enviro Mini. VERY quiet, and made enough heat on low that he left the house door open and helped heat his kitchen. And his room was somewhat larger than yours.

Its going to be tough with all the winders, Might need to due an up through the roof vent??

Mini would fit the bill and so would the quad castile.

Good suggestions . I'll have to rethink the venting as you pointed out.

As long as you can get the terminus on the vent at 5 feet from a window that can open IIRC
I had to permanently fasten shut a window here by one of our stoves to meet code.

Lots of great little stoves out there....used one should be sweet.

    Have fun

Also think about clearances needed to combustibles from the stove. Looks like it would be fairly crowded in there. Not trying to talk you out of it, just bringing up stuff to think about.

Kinda a small room. I love Accentras, but would be burning on low most of the time, not good. I would go for a Enviro Mini, newer, or even an older one,Don, on here is very familiar with doing all the upgrades on the older ones, if you run across one cheap. Also, I believe you can run the exhaust through the wall, pretty much anywhere, even next to or under a functioning window,as long as you then run it vertical or horizontal, to meet the required distance, usually 4' for most stoves and local ordinances. However, others, feel free to correct me.

I can move things around a bit so I think I'll have just enough distance from the stove . I'm looking at the Castle Serenity or The Enviro mini seem to be the best size . As far as the vent if I go through the side wall I can go 4 - 5 feet away horizontal with 2 brackets. Kind of Interested in the difference in quality of those stoves , thanks I appreciate the input.

My friend who had a Mini loved it....never a problem, and very quiet.

Just checked out the manual for cleaning the mini and the serenity will be much easier for cleanings.

I've heard good things about the Serenity , that is an important point also the price is very good. A used mini is roughly 1000. $

Be somewhat wary of roof perforations. Unfortunately, with many "kit" type three season rooms, you can invalidate the warranty by modifying the roof. Also, at least with Harman, if you bring in outside air, the terminus of the pipe can be about 18" from an operable window or door (depends on model).
Im a Harman fan ( :jaw: ), so, I would look at a P43. But, if that money is a bit high, you can look at a few less expensive inferior units as well......(looked like a slow morning, so this should liven things up!)

I always seem to route for the underdog. Don't hardly ever win though!

Not if you run on a 24 hour clock.

The P38 was my first choice but price is a factor and I think it would be to much for that room even with the door to the dinning room open .:pete:
