Fridge was delivered this am. Per my wife, it's working. She's happy.

I'm glad I clearanced the side drywall a little more. Apparently it just fit. Yes there's air gap room.

I'll need to hook up the water line for the ice maker. The delivery company doesn't do that. Just delivery and plug in and removal of the old one.

Our last side by side was built into a closet, not surrounded by cabinets. No one made a side-by-side in those dimensions any more so we ended up with a freezer over just to fit otherwise I would have been redoing a whole wall. I was working far too many hours at the time to take on a remodeling job and wasn't going to wait weeks to hire it out to get it done. It was middle of Summer, 95 degrees, I had to get it done that afternoon. 2 extra inches on each side and an inch on top. I figure it's plenty of breathing room. That was almost 20 years ago so I probably should be taking measurements again.

Just started snowing here a few minutes ago. If the weather guessers are correct we should get between 3 and 5 inches of snow with a possibility of a tenth of an inch of ice between now and noon on Saturday. Topped off the wood supply in the house this morning. Wife made a pot of split pea and ham soup so we are all set to be snow in.

They say it is supposed to start here sometime tomorrow between 7 and noon. They are saying 6-10" with stiff winds and single digit temps. I brought a 3 day supply up to the house from the big lower shed. Wife did all the shopping today so, like you, we are ready to hunker down and watch it snow. Hope every one in the path of this stays warm and safe. Bodi is sleeping in the heated garage and all set to clean up after it is over on Sunday.

Supposed to get some mix of rain/freezing rain/sleet/snow this evening before turning to all rain tonight.

Winds pushed a big white pine at my BIL's house to about 22.5* angle headed right for his garage. Going to try to drop it tomorrow AM before the winds pick up with the big cold front tomorrow afternoon. Hopefully that will go without issue.

Would have been a better story if it had been a pregnant male :D

Seriously, glad she was able to get a ride to the hospital!

    Arnold Schwarzenegger comes to mind...

2 cities over, a city water pump is down. Those people are without water. On one of our populated coastal islands there's both a medical emergency involving an oxygen system, and a possible house fire and They can't get to either

Looks like 7" of snow, maybe some more over night. Spent all morning scooping sidewalks clean for a funeral at our church.

Snow was coming down so fast by the time I finished one pass I'd have to start again. Well worth it as the gentlemen who passed was one helluva guy. A truly good person.

Suppose to blow tomorrow after snow ends up to 50 mph so we had to cancel our already delayed Christmas with the kids. All are safe which is the most important thing.

I could swear mom gets half her blocks snow......wind paterns and location I guess. The 2 neighbors on either side, well they'll have a little shoveling to do. Moms is gonna have to dig through a shoulder height drift bank....
