That is very good of you to do that for your neighbor friend. You know first hand what it is to laid up and not to be able to do your chores. Stay well Dennis, this winter has a lot of bugs out to infect anyone they can.

Light dusting of snow this morning. Coals in the stove are burning down, and Charlotte just came downstairs to disturb the total silence.

Another warm night but now they say falling temperatures. Still forecasting a storm for the weekend but the guessing is all over the place. I won't get excited.

Men's Bible study this morning and then having lunch with my wife and aunt. Will do some grocery shopping either later this afternoon or tomorrow morning before the snow moves in. Supposed to get 4-6 inches with high winds between noon Friday and noon Saturday. Colder temps moving in early next week.

An interesting day yesterday. Cold, no snow but really high winds. Sent the students home early that ride ferries to school. Hurricane force winds were predicted for the afternoon and evening along with snow. Winds were pretty bad last night, ferry didn't run, Mom lost power for a couple of hours but we didn't. Woke up this morning to a bit warmer temps but still below freezing and now it is really snowing with big fat flakes. Because of the wind last night, our cars have snow on them in the carport.

When we get back from our walk, I will check to see if I am going to work this morning.

Yes, snow day today. :shiver:    I get to play in the sewing room.

Although we didn't get much here in town, some communities got a lot and traveling for many of our students is going to be treacherous. We don't often get the fine, dry, really slippery, blowing snow that we have had. There is more coming down as well.

Snowing heavy here. Schools canceled at 5 AM. So I am housebound until cleanout happens. I stay inside until it is all cleared out. Have started sneezing. What next?

Sun's out, it's all melting here, only about an inch of slush all told. I'm going outside to split some maple.

Kids school cancelled here as well. But wife only had 2 hour delay. We ended up with about 6-7 inches. Cold coming tonight and then anyone’s guess how much snow on Saturday. Guessers say 3-12ish?

I guess so. Boss lady wouldn't sign off on a wood burner...and the boiler does all the heating so this was actually a good option for us. You can turn the heat and display on independantly...so it is just for looks....doesn't put out any heat.

Lucky you - I got 5" of slop and had to move it. I had to shovel some that I would normally blow since it was so sloppy and choked up the chute (I had just siliconed it over the weekend, so you know that stuff was cr*p to blow). Didn't do the approach to the tent garage so come tomorrow I will have close to 3" of ice (it compacted more after it warmed up this afternoon). But, that is why the truck is in that spot - it will get thru.
