The same friend of mine that makes the hand made turkey callers is also a big time archery hunter. He was messing around making some bows out of PVC. He makes one piece bows and take down bows that break down into 3 pieces along with the arrows breaking down as well. As of right now he makes them in two draw weights 45# and 55#. Here are a couple of pictures of the take down bow with the arrows. The take down bow with 3 arrows and hand painted wood grain is $100.
Chit...only $100.00...not a bow guy, but that looks like it should cost 4x that!! Your buddy does some incredible work!
Thanks he told me that most of the most of the cost is for the take down arrows that he had to make. I can't quite remember the other two prices but if you get a one piece hand painted wood grain bow it's not a bad price at all I think it was $60. And a one piece bow sprayed one color is like $25 or $30?
I finally got the maker of the turkey calls and these bows to join. His name is rustyspurs. He's not too good at posting yet so I am just getting these threads started for him till he jumps on board!
Welcome to the site frye1107 nice to meet you! I'll have to check with him. I don't know how active he's been on the site but I can get a hold of him so he can get in touch with you
I got in touch with rustyspurs about making the bows. He said that he no longer has the jigs to make them. He lent them out for someone to use and never got them back! He's not able to get in touch with the person that he lent them to. So no more handmade bows until he gets his jigs back some how. I'll make a post here if and when the jigs are returned so he can start making them again. Sorry frye1107
