Mowed the yard. Spend about 3 hours weeding the garden. Put up one one those plastic sheds for the in-laws. Holy chit was that a PITA. But I got fed and free beer for my efforts.:headbang::drunk::D

Long day on the road, just stopped at a shop-rite grocery store in hopes they had some beer and wine. They DO!
Picked up a 6 of Yeungling, 7 bucks! Much cheaper here than up north. And I found gas for $3.37/gal.

Wife set everything up for the kids and they cooked smores over the little propane fire last on the porch last night. Do they love to do that! Time to get ready for work this morning. Hopefully I will be able to do a little work down at the camp late this afternoon and early evening. You guys enjoy your Sunday and stay safe.

Cleaned up the garage yesterday so today it was trip to the transfer station day. A trip to each place this past week, that doesn't happen too often.

They were a politicking at the transfer station today, got all kinds of reading (propaganda) materials to look over before election day.

Personally I'm going to vote no on yes, yes on no, no on any expenditures of money, none of the above on all races with candidates, and Mickey mouse as a write in when there are no candidates running (Minnie gets the write in on the next election).

Sounds like a good job. If you get to use equipment like that!

I'm sure using equipment like that wears on you like any other job could over time. My friend works at SEMASS, a waste to energy plant in Rochester Mass. He works a massively huge loader 5 days a week and just does the same thing day after day, loading the hoppers with trash to be incinerated. His favorite part is collecting all the metal at the end of a burn session.

    Loon,

One year, many moons ago, I got to operate a Kamatsu excavator, similar to about this size. [IMG]
My father rented it for four days while we were digging (expanding) the pond on the property. It was loads of fun. I'll never forget doing that project with my father. We still talk about from time to time. We could fill the single axle dump truck with 3-4 scoops! Good times!

Yes. I agree Oslo. If you were doing the same thing constantly I am sure it would be tough. I notice when I am using equipment for the type of work I am doing to my property I am always getting in and out of the Bobcat or on and off of the Ford tractor. Gloves on to move this stone or stump, or change implements, etc. At the end of the day you feel all those trips up and down. Keeps you in shape though.
