I was talking with the wife’s grandpa over Christmas about chainsaws and cutting firewood. They live in northern Minnesota and have roughly 120 acres of woods. He is a super nice guy and is still very active for his age. Anyways after Christmas was done and we were getting ready for the 5 hour drive back home. He said he wanted to give me something, he walked out with a chainsaw case and this saw along with four chains.
My bad, I had it taken apart to clean it up. Everything’s there and in working order, I just haven’t put it back together yet.
Nice firewood saw! Not to look a gift Saw in the exhaust, but have pulled the muffler to see the piston condition? And welcome aboard!
He probably got more pleasure in giving the gift than you got in receiving it. That said I would consider going up for an extended weekend maybe when he likes to cut in the summer?? Then just giving them a hand with that saw on the 120 acres. Those memories will mean a lot in a few years
Fantastic. No doubt Grandfather thought very well of you for marrying his granddaughter. And for sure now you need to pay him back somehow. A little work around the farm maybe? Find out something that he really likes and get it for him? Use your imagination. Then use the saw!
