    A lot of what burned me out on truck driving is the cell phone phenomenon... When I started in trucking in the early 2000's there wasn't any and it WAS much safer when I left then came back to it years later well..... That is a daily scene where I was running almost always due to either the truck or the car on a phone... People put the suction cup in front of their face on the windows or hold it I have even spotted a few tapped to the steering wheels...

    Id say at east twice a day I would narrowly miss an accident wether its a truck or car causing it and I do mean narrowly. You gotta have nerves of steel to be a trooper, first responder or even a good truck driver because of that type of accident.

    Same reason I stopped riding motorcycles after 30+ accident free years.

    This was my moment. I know dad didn't see the truck coming and pulled out in front of him. But the truck was loaded, speeding and on a road he was not routed to be on. This was 6-20-01...
    My dad didn't suffer with cancer anymore...this happened right in front of his shop. 1228192110.jpg
