Just thought I’d toss this out there to our Ct contingent. Add on FB Ct Marketplace. Guy wants all the trees behind his house cut down. Of course most comments are he’s crazy. Some truth to that. But hey, anyone looking for some trees to knock down and haul off might want to check it out. Guy seems adamant he’s not paying a pro. Not close enough to me otherwise I might look into it. Anyone game? just thinking, should just message the guy this site and let him decide if he wants to post. Just might.
did it mention a town jo191145 ? Id be more than happy to meet up with any fellow Connecticut hoarders to work this. Dont need the wood, but always glad to help
Hmmm... I have a bud who lives in Bloomfield. He was talking yesterday about having a bunch of tall eastern white pine taken down. I wonder... Did the add say what kind of trees?
Snapped some pics today just for you Brad. Get your heart racing. Wish this was my next honey hole Right in the area where all that ash was laying on 66. No. Had some pics. Mostly all hardwood trees. There was a Christmas tree or two off to one side in one of the pics. Didn’t seem relevant.
HOLY CHIT!!! No way for you to sneak a trailer full load out? im sure they wouldnt miss a few logs. I wonder what they do with the culls? Leave em where they fall??? I know you have plenty on your own property to work on but this is some primo stuff. Pics from June 16 when i was doing that roof in Willimantic. My bathroom stop in the morning. Of course i had to take pics! I was very tempted to bring the saw and buck a PU full but being in work mode the last thing i wanted to do was cut a load of wood on the way home! You might be a wood hoarder if: you have more photos of logs/firewood than of your significant other!
Don’t tell the significant other about the strange pics on your phone LOL. Might wanna make a secure folder for those I learned about this clear cutting because a local social justice warrior in town is raising a ruckus because of it. Doesn’t hurt that she’s a neighbor to the land of course. She’s looking for info to put a halt to it. Way too late for that, it’s down. So in true hoarder fashion I just had to drive up the road to see what’s happening. About 40 acres being clear cut. There’s a ton of wood still laying on the ground that hasn’t been pulled out yet. Neighbors telling other people what they can and cannot do with their land is getting to be an epidemic in my little town. I don’t like it. I dont have to like clear cutting but I like even less people who have no rights to start screaming about it. So, bad weather, bored I did a little online searching. Came to the conclusion it’s most likely a new young widow who is probably in financial trouble having it done. Or she sold it and the news hasn’t hit the web yet. That land was her deceased husbands dream come true. She’s welcome to the wood. I won’t share that info with the loud mouth even if just to chastise her. Let her keep yelling if she doesn’t know how to use the Internet. That entire first pic is all 10 foot lengths. Oh boy they would slide right on my trailer like butter in a skillet. LOL My guess would be they’ll all be made into pallets. The biggest use of timber in Ct is pallets I just wish the family the best.
