I havent heard a doomsday update this morning. I suppose I should go top off the work car that I just noticed was on E so I can work tomorrow if needed. Everything else is GTG.

Gonna give the chimney a cleaning in a few to appease my wife. Her father asked in a somewhat panic if we knew that the chimney needs to be cleaned periodically, now shes on me to get it done. Going to be a waste of time, but happy wife, happy life. At least I'll get to practice my army crawl getting to the chimney clean out under the porch. This fat guy doesnt do roofs.

My daughter is obsessed with the Frozen movie. She calls it an icy blast when I run the snowblower, and she INSISTS on doing it with me.

Supposedly 4-7 in my neck of the woods possibly ending as a wintery mix. Closer to the coast more ice. Luckily we are headed to The Forks later to hunt coyote tomorrow and Tuesday. Funner ride home maybe.

Unbelievable. At 6am here in Rock County WI, my unofficial thermometer said 60F. I think the Drolet is going down for a spell.

Yeah, what a weird winter so far....

It's 47° here a little north and east of you. We got rained on very hard overnight. Typically, that would've been snow.

At least there's zero ice here , aside from what's on the lakes.

Probably many remember a couple days ago when I posted about deer bedded close to the house. This morning on the ridge we watched 3 does being followed by 4 bucks! Then they just stopped so we could have some good looks at them. Nice! It was raining at the time but didn't bother the deer at all.

Flood watches all over the place... Geeze.

On top of all that, yesterday we saw 2 farmers out working fields! At this time of the year? Unheard of around here. I have seen guys picking corn and even combining soy beans at this time of the year but the ground is usually frozen. Some fields have lots of standing water so those won't get worked until spring for sure.

Yes, but sturgeon aren't in the river this time of year. But during the time they are here, they are spectacular to watch jumping out of the water. They are protected so any catch has to be released back to the river. When you see one jump, keep your eyes open. You will see it again and again.
