It is a treat no matter where you are. And don't forget to try some maple syrup on vanilla ice cream.

Wasn’t sure where to post this question. When you process your Christmas tree do you split the whole thing or just everything over a certain mark , say 5 “ ? Second what day does everyone burn there tree from 2016 ? Will there be a community thread like this one ?

I process mine down to about 1" Evey thing isle usually burn when I light it up in the garden. I just stack it on the pile I'm stacking at that point. It will get burned in 2-3 years. I burn it when ever it gets pulled from the pile when I am burning that wood. Usually will burn it during the day or early evening cause it's usually not that straight and doesn't stack in the stove well for an overnight burn.

Y'all might think this is a joke, but I'm serious!

    "Processing" of my tree includes:

    De-ornamenting
    Unplugging
    Separating into two sections
    Bag it
Back to the basement for 11 months.

Umm... We normally put our tree up a couple days before Christmas and take it down about the first part of May. Eazy Peazy tip it over on a sheet and drag it out the front door. Just hope you don't get a static spark from dragging it across the carpet. Normally a slight breeze will carry it away.

I had to quit using a live tree; just too dangerous as the tree would dry out in the lounge no matter what I did; and I don't want the tree in the bedroom. So it was to artificial even though I like a live tree best.

My tree gets thrown in for the goats to munch on (after all of the ornaments and lights come off of course). They love it. They will have it stripped of all needles within 2-3 days and all bark within a week. It then becomes a head/back scratcher for them. I believe it is a natural dewormer for them as well.

We'll take our tree down after Jan.2nd sometime. We will stand it up in a snowbank in the dooryard, and when the snow melts enough, usually late March, and it falls over I'll throw it on the fire pit and burn it up in April or so with all the branches from spring logging.
