Do you remember how big of motor was on those pumps? I'm running a 50kw on 95-110hp tractor and it'll fluctuate when I throw the switch but not much. My vacuum pump has a 10hp on it.

I don't remember. That was a lot of brain cells ago. It was a small parlor, four on each side. It would handle almost everything at once, but only one silo unloader at a time if we were milking.

That's what I have.:) Mines a low line I was told high lines needed more juice. Do you remember what kind it was?

I've never had a problem powering the barn and the house.

It was high line. I could see that setup needing more. I think it was more about a 4430 with 20k hours on it, and a hot running 4020 ;)

After corn was planted, that 4020 got a narrow front and cut 18.4-38s on steel wheels, and pulled in 7500 lb farm stock classes. It also got an injector swap and a turn of the screw. Results of dyno runs were never disclosed.

Yep, but just crab apples and cotton wood. And a couple snow ball bushes. Didn't take any, got a load of compost instead.

Took care of several things today. You guys have been busy. Everyone is mowing grass. It is time to mow the grass at the camp again tomorrow afternoon. Looks like the weather will be good tomorrow. Had rain today, but not that much. I was able to get some clearing of brush done and York raking.

Got my first tick while on the mower today. It's pretty breezy, and I don't mow with the deflector on. Now I can't sleep, got that creepy crawly feeling.

I worked in all that brush today and did not see one tick on me. My clothes were treated with Permathrin, and after I put them on this morning I sprayed deep woods off on all my arms, hands, neck area, hat, boots and pant legs, etc. But I don't think they were in that area. I would think I would have seen some at least. Not really much tall grass there though. Not complaining, just sayin!

Glad you mentioned that, I was on the roof at a job on wednesday, when I was putting down some felt paper I saw a tick on my right hand. Weird place to see it, must have come off of the grass when I was on the ground. Lots of those little chits this year

And when I'm home and about the shower, I shout downstairs to my wife "tick check". She comes up and gives me a once over. It's the deer ticks I get worried about.

I've never had a tick sink in, I can feel them crawling before hand.

They say the newly hatched ones are very small. I don't see how you could find them if they got into the right place(s).
