In the last half hours I’ll layer the Golubki’s with perogis and let them cook there.
May cook a loop of kielbasa too.

The Golubki’s freeze fine too. Save the juice to freeze with them.

3 lbs meat ( i usually do a 2 to 1 pork to beef but the meatloaf mix was bogo)
    200g mushrooms
2 to 3 good sized cabbage
    5 cups rice, cooked
    32oz tomato sauce
    Bouillon

Right where I want to be.
We knew those as stuffed cabbage.
I like them better than stuffed peppers.

Always called them stuffed cabbage rolls. We had a neighbour years ago that used to make awesome ones.

Brings back fond memories of my Polish/Lithuanian Pennsylvania Coal Mining Family roots. Both Grandmothers, my aunts and my mother were masters of the
galumpkis as well as the perogies, both potato and cottage cheese filled. As well, both grandmothers made their own stuffed sausage complete with the pig intestine casings. They also would grind their own roots and turn that into home made horse radish sauce. Awesome kid memories for sure.

My wife used to make hand made perogies.
We still have a great market nearby that I love to go to where the staff speak both and the elderly shoppers, English is the second language.

Born and raised until I was seven in the NE end of the state. Relatives on both sides were in the coal mining trade when it was active in that area.

Great place to ride wheelers when I did that sort of thing for fun. Back then (and likely still) you accidently get into private property, the end of a barrel is usually pointed at you! Fun times all the trails, even exploring centrailia that's still burning!
