Think they might need a Lid?

    Saw this home made hopper exstention? and hope the have a lid for safety reasons..

    Those are some pizz poor welds I can tell you that. Should have at least ground them down. Smdh

    Manufacturer's should take notes as we consumers want BIG hoppers along with BIG ashpans :doh:

    Actually it should not cause any real issue, but it sure looks like crap.

    Now...all considered, some stoves do require a lid to seal in vacuum or ?????

    My Whitfields could care less if the lid is closed or not, and they don,t seal anyway.

    My big worry is....WHAT ELSE DID THIS HACK DO ????

    I think this dude must have been up my way.....
    Here is what I found in this little Whitfield Prodigy 2 I got to rebuild/resell

    Other pix show what is supposed to be in there....

    Bent up hopper was disgusting...
    He removed the venturi plate and the cooling fan and replaced it with a strange POS cobbled up mess.

    Best part was he wired it up so it would not run.....probably saved them from incinerating the house/them too

    The hackers are out there....
