    No idea it was for livestock, I was a young kid, we were fixing it, gramps went to turn it on, I wasn't quick enough.
    And this was in the 70's rural Maine, I doubt code was given much thought back than.

    Must be the others were there, I mean, why would he deprive his brothers of such an enlightening experience.
    :bug::hair:

    Saw a kid do that when I was working on a farm back in high school.
    Painful to watch.

    "you only do that for about a milisecond anyway before it knocks you on your arse about 10 feet back" ... true that... but only for most people... some just have to keep pizzin', no matter the pain... ;)... :D

    This time of year can be pretty rough. If you are down, sad or feeling depressed it can be really frustrating in what is suppose to be a happy time. Death, divorce, financial problems, relatives and or friends who are physically or emotionally distant are a few reasons some people have problems.

    Don't hesitate to reach out for help if you need. No shame there.

    For those trying to help, usually being a person they can talk too, rather than giving advice is the best thing we can offer.

    Chazsbetterhalf , I once suggested that my wife apply some sunscreen (I think it was one January) to trick herself into thinking it wasn't the dead of winter and dark at 17:30.

    She is much happier on a beach in the sun.

    Let us just say that my suggestion was not well received. :bug:. :loco: :crazy: :whistle:. :emb:.

    The longer I survive, the more often I decide to NOT POKE THE BEAR. But, sometimes I just can't help myself. :wacky:

    Have you tried full spectrum (sunlight) lamps? I don't know anything about them but have read where they seem to help some people.
