I hope you all had a wonderful first day of winter. Kansas temperatures reached 55+ degrees...We are gearing up for a 64 degree day on Christmas. It wasn't the wood cutting weather I prefer, but I was out there nonetheless. Cut up an ash or elm tree...here are pics to prove it! It didn't fall right where I wanted it, but was able to get it all bucked anyway! I was fortunate to end a day of hard work with a KC Chiefs victory and a bourbon by the fire! How did you spend your first day of winter?
I’m looking forward to longer daylight hours; 1-2 minutes a day. My favorite Christmas gift! nice score!
Nice work Sean Easterly Tree is on the ground and no one hurt so all is good. Nice to see you back ...been a long time! Looks like an elm to me. Warmed up a bit here. I was out and about with just short sleeves after a few days of temps in the 20's. Looking forward to the days getting longer myself.
Nice pile of firewood and good looking hound. What’s the breed? I’m a Bears fan so I’m pretty disappointed with the outcome of the game. Either way great day for CSS! I also like the winter solstice, longer days are good! Glad we can agree on something!
Thanks everyone. Yes, much better. Lots of congestion yet, but managed a 13.5 hour day at work today. Merry Christmas all and thanks again for the well wishes.
That's a good beer. I love their beer. I thought that was a viszla. Good looking pup. They are stubborn, so keep working on him. He'll get better at hunting. Does he hold the point well? How's the retrieving?
What? Only 13.2 hours while you're not feeling well? Some sort of slacker or what? Glad to hear you're feeling better! Don't over-do it anymore!
