I had cut this Cherry tree behind the house a few months back and just got around to stacking it. Got a long bed on the F150 and it was almost full, man I like the way it splits so easy.
Looks like a fun job in nice weather. Should dry fast where you are. It seems to take a few years for me, even though people have said it dries quicker for them.
Nice jag of wood! Cherry has a lot going for it but some of my friends here don't like it. They are put off by the bands of bark that hold the halves together when you split. I run a groove down down the length of the trunk with the tip of my saw to cut the bark. Makes hand splitting easier.
