We are far from down with the remodel work, but we took the week off from such activities to get a little more settled in and to get ready for 8 crazy nights!
We just finished celebrating tonight as well. My mother in law brought over some delicious home cooked brisket and my wife did an awesome job frying up the latkes! All four kids enjoyed their gifts. Had a nice evening.
Beef sammich?? Had to look this up.. "... “chag sameach,” which translates to “happy festival” and is the Hebrew equivalent of “happy holidays.” ... " I feel slightly less ignorant than five minutes ago. Hope the above joke is accepted as intended.
Happy Chanukah Grizzly Adam and saewoody!! Thanks for keeping this great site up and running also Adam!
Glad you looked it up Chaz; otherwise I would have had to! I’m married in. I have managed to pick up a couple of the prayers over the years, but there is still plenty I don’t know. My kids certainly know more than me. The oldest two have been bat and bar mitvahed. Younger two are not of age yet. I really enjoy Hanukkah though. It’s a lot of fun for the kids. I think of it as slow and steady wins the race. But happy Holidays and Merry Christmas to all as well. We manage to celebrate both in our house, but Christmas is modified; don’t need 4 more spoiled brats in the world
Same to you Adam. And we love how you have made that new home look....rather homey! Proud of you and we also wish the Holiday to be great for your entire family. May God bless you all.
Thank Dennis, we are making some good progress but I will enjoy the time away from working on it. I am hoping to get some more organizing done in the workshop over the next week.
