I've never bought a whole ton but have burned single bags and I can confirm the lighter colored ones are good for pellet stove use. Every once in a while, they will do a 2 bags for $9 special, which is a pretty good. One consideration is they are not sold as fuel pellets, so tax is charged, at least in CT. Regardless, at $4.50 a bag, even with tax applied, it's still a good deal. My local TSC store has a boatload of them right now, but they are the darker colored ones. All of the pallets are clearly labeled indicating Lignetics is supplying them.

Looks like starting tomorrow we are getting a nice stretch of days in the 40s, through and including Xmas day. I'll drink to that!

I'm a couple months shy of 66, Lori almost 63. Noticed over the past few years during get togethers with our friends the conversations have gone from things we were doing to now things we can't do anymore, then comparing our maladies and the docs and meds we use for them.
I used to wonder why my Dad and other older folks his age I knew didn't like driving at night. Now I know. Oncoming headlights (esp LED) blind me now. Lori bought a couple of those as-seen-on-tv fold down night vision visors and they actually work. Turns the light from glaring white to a softer yellow. Had to pick up a granddaughter at the airport in Boston last night and with the heavy traffic that visor really helped.

When I was on it I could do very little physical stuff.
When I sat down and relaxed my BP would fall off the charts....

But go the Dr office and my BP would be 160/90
Tossing the pills out and just letting the system do it's thing was the best plan.

Yeah the BP goes all over the place but at least I can have a somewhat decent life.
With the meds I was worthless

Some poor slobs can stand it when thier BP goes low I can't,I also feel it when it goes high. 2.5 is too low and 5.0 is too high the BP drops too low on the standard dose.

It does not help having one of the higher half lives.

Gave both stoves deep cleaning today, including LBT. They have both cycled so I could see that their flames are good, which means I cleaned everything needed, and didn't screw up putting them back together :D

I'm getting nervous as I've been trying since Friday to get a hold of my pet/house sitter and she isn't answering texts. Went by her place today and her car is gone. But, she normally works on Sundays, so doesn't mean anything. Argh, this frustrates me all to hell since I will be gone for a week and I can't go if I have no confidence she is okay and can take care of my kids.

Already had one stroke of bad luck, my work computer was fubar'ed when I changed the network password Friday before leaving (had to have it done before the 24th). Which means instead of having tomorrow off, I will have to go in and contact IT to fix it so when I go back in early on 1/3, it is usable. That is 3 hours of drive time and who knows how long sitting around out of the final day before I'm supposed to board a plane.

I knew things had been going too well the last month or so

Just finished mine too! Just in time before the sun goes down. Except I did bottom up with soot eater instead of LBT.

Sorry about the home/pet sitter and work computer. All the sudden today the bank does not recognize my password.

We just got one of these at work. I take off the mist tube and the tank lifts off the base. take it to the sink for filling and place it back on base and put the mist tube back on.

"White coat hypertension, more commonly known as white coat syndrome,
is a phenomenon in which people exhibit a blood pressure level above the normal range,
in a clinical setting, although they do not exhibit it in other settings.
It is believed that the phenomenon is due to anxiety experienced during a clinic visit."

This has Moi written all over it..
Hate going. Mine does the same thing...

I had great docs in Colo that heard my symptoms vs clinical signs and adjusted accordingly. Up here they prescribe crazy doses for a man 2.5X my size, same with my dogs and cat. Umm, we are just 70 miles from my rheumy and veterinarians in previous place (I still see that rheumy) and the difference in care and dosages are crazy both human and animals. :loco:

    I understand completely.

They put me on Clonidine but that stuff kicked my toosh worse....but still, in the office the BP would be off in the ozones.

None of the stuff would give me a stable BP ...or at least keep it from getting sideways.

The side effects of all of it was horrible.

Then they added the Statins..... OMG I turned into a zombie.
Muscle aches so bad and no strength at all.

    Bad ju ju....

Cleaned the little stove yesterday....really needed it too.
LBT and washed the windows, checked the oil too.....nawwww..just foolin

We had been running the big stove mostly and then we had a warm up. Went back the little stove and it needed cleaning then....so it got really full of ash.

The little stove has a very small ash pan and the firebox is small too.

Usually I clean the little stove every 3-4 days when running 24/7

Been playing that game for years.
The Dr I had for years (Retired now) who gave me my CDL physical every 2 years would do the BP check after we had done everything else.

WE would head to her personal little "Back office" have a coffee and visit a bit and she would get me relaxed and then get the BP ....This always got good numbers.

We would make my appt her last for the day.....She was a great Doc.....

Anxiety is a beotch, and tough to deal with....ya can't treat the BP when it's bouncing all over the place.

Even with the meds on board the pressure would spike and just drive the Docs nuts.

I just got tired of all the side effects and poor quality of life while using the meds..

Decided to leave well enough alone and just not worry about it any more.

Been doing this stuff since I was a teenager .....67 now and still kicking....

I tried to join the military right out of high school and they found the BP anomaly .... and would not take me .... I wanted the chance at getting more education and other benefits....not to be..

    Oh well.
