Gonna have to admire everyone else's this year due to major renovations. That's a really nice hearth & cozy pic!

I don't want to be "that guy" but a live tree that close to an open flame makes me feel like someone ought to say something... it makes me concerned. Really really beautiful though!

Dude! That is a serious hearth. Love how the whole wall is brick. Looks fantastic.

100% understand the concern. The tree is actually 4 feet from the fireplace and there is a spark screen in place. It must be an optical illusion that it looks so close.

Thanks Bro, it’s about 16’ long with a 7’ ceiling. My buddy across the street has a real nice one as well.

83452675-757E-483E-9BE0-040141FEF374.jpeg Our big Jotul wood stove is on the main level of our house. It is our primary source of heat. But it doesn’t really have a mantle. So we decorate the pellet stove downstairs as our “mantle.” Still very warm and cozy down there!

    Merry Christmas everyone!

I had to give up a live tree, they just got too dried out even with me making sure there was plenty of water in the container.

I like getting up right before my girls on Christmas morning. I light the fireplace and watch them excitedly come down the hall. Merry Christmas to all! 42839DCF-F959-47F3-9DB9-1D521B4CEE2C.jpeg

Insert here in the living room. The free-standing stove is in the sun room. Merry Christmas everybody and best wishes to all my fellow firewood hoarders and their families in the New Year of 2020!

Girlfriend said she could not get a good fire going in her fireplace last year. It works very well. She just needed some good quality wood, that’s all.

merry Christmas all. Even though it is warm today, it’s fitting to have a Yule fire.
