We heard ice falling all night. Everything was glazed in it. Stove kept up. No more drafty front door made a huge difference.

    Good on ya

After my first stroke (Total of 5) and before we discovered that a big azz tumor in my left kidney was causing the small clots...
Tumor was malignant...but a very rare and slow growing nemesis...

The fall out from the first stroke faded fast and things were back to normal pretty quick.

Not until the second one did we get a handle on the big picture.

The second time down the road took far longer to resolve and that was August of 2012

Still not perfect, and my dexterity in the right hand is not perfect....but the basics work.

Picking up small things is a challenge and twisting nuts and bolts is not a good thing.
There were other things that went buzzwhack with the number 2 stroke, but have nearly gone away.

The one residual is the fatigue that just comes on like a wet blanket and nothing seems to make it go away.

I just slog on and try to ignore it.

Glad you are giving it hell..... thats about all we can do.

Sitting on ones azz and whining is not a good thing....so I stand and do it..

    Same boat.
I am happy with the life I have had.
Can't change the past/present medical setbacks,
no sense in worrying about them.
Worry about what you can change..
    No regrets.

You have the right attitude too Snowy. I have a clotting disorder called Factor Five Leiden. It causes my blood to clot spontaneously. I had a TIA at work causing me to collapse due to a sudden loss of control over one side of my body. During the many tests I had done, they found lesions on my brain and spinal chord. TaDa! I now had two issues but the lesions on my spinal cord explained the weakness in my legs and the pain. All the while I thought it was OFS. (Old Farts Syndrome) The meds I am on have kept everything relatively normal and allowed me to work on getting my strength back. What you have been through, I think, has been much more challenging. Strokes are one of my biggest fears. It's so scary when you have no control of your body and there's no quick fix. God Bless you and I hope you continue to improve. Attitude is the #1 thing that affects your health and it seems that you've got a good one!

Same here. Planning to give the P68 a good thorough cleaning over the next week or two. Been doing that the past few seasons right around the new year, it’s working out nicely, getting the stove and flue cleaned up, just before the Jan - Feb cold sets in.

Factor Five runs in my family too. Supposedly there's 1/2 gene and full gene variants. I have the 1/2 so I take a low-dose aspirin, vitamin B12, and Folic Acid.

My vertical issues start as soon as I pop my partial Amplodipine.

Assuming that is medicine, it probably shouldn't make you lose your balance.

I'm on Coumadin. My brother has it as well as one of my sons. I take the Coumadin because the bleeding can be reversed with vitamin K in an emergency. You don't hear of many people with this.
