LOL its actually a full sized car. I was going to buy a certified pre owned base model Kia Optima for about $14-15k. But for under 19k I got the same year Cadillac XTS with the same mileage. It's a big car! I could fit a ton of wood in the trunk, but it's going to be for work, so it will have paperwork, tools, and swag in it, not rounds.

Sounds like you've got a good handle on it for the conditions you are in...

I hate starting my 953 or cat skid steer in those temps. You have the right idea. They are just giant chunks of cold iron. Plug them in for definite. I’ll start them and maybe let them idle (or a little above) for an hour or more. Go drink some coffee where it’s warm. If I go to lunch I let them idle. It doesn’t burn much fuel and it’s easier on the machine than starting it cold again.

Yes, but this time you will own it, and not the company you work for?

Correct. I'm not sure if this will be a good thing for me or not. I'll drive a much nicer car, and I think I'll make out in the end once I factor in the tax write off.

You'll make out even better if you pick up a round or three!

That’s not a car hoard, this is a car hoard:

Now I know why those bearings are squeaking on me.

Woke up to -10 this morning. Normal for us would be +5. I had started the 2nd stove yesterday afternoon so the cave is a balmy 74. They say we will be up to 36 on Sunday. For now, my big arse will be parked here in the cave. Everyone has a great and safe day.

The South West Florida Eagle parents have now hatched the first Eaglet this fall. The second egg is scheduled to PIP in the next couple of days. 24/7 live cam says it is 49 in Ft. Myers this a.m.

Good luck with this. For sure you should be more comfortable and you do lots of driving so that is a big plus.

Chilly again this morning at 10 outside and 79 inside. Sweet!

Leaving in a little bit to see a neurosurgeon. Scary for sure.

I am so sore once again. I just can't take shoveling those roofs like I used to. Good thing is, it'll be another 100" of snow before I get back up there again. Bad thing is, at this rate of snowfall, it'll be by the end of Jan! :picard:

Just think Yooper; this could have been aimed for you and just missed by a little bit.

Thanks Dennis! I almost walked away from it. How can a Cadillac not have heated seats??? However, it was literally the cheapest CPO 2016 XTS in the country from what I saw. I wanted a '16 because it has apple and android car play, so I can have my phones navigation displayed on the screen, which is the best navigation IMO
