Dang nab it! Showed this to the wife last night, she was going to town today, the Kmart was/is closing so she went to see about a conveyor. The doors are locked tighter than, well, let's just say I was a day late on this adventure! You guys got to time this better next time! That belt conveyor looks like the thing!!

I didn’t want to load the rear tires with beet juice Dennis. Makes a huge mess if you get a leak , cost to replace , plus I have the option of removing the ballast when the yard is to soft . With the quick hitch it’s super easy .
I ordered the empty ballast box online , about $200 , and filled it with Portland cement to about 4” from the top .
Welded on the small basket on the back to carry chains ect.... It came with the receiver so I can pull trailers as needed . Also it has a couple tubes in it so you can carry shovels or whatever . I made the chainsaw holder out of some oak . With the grapple on the front I’m fine until I get into the really big stuff . I cut the logs at 10 ft . I also have 6 suitcase weights bolted together that I can sit on top of the cement for another 500 plus lbs , this makes it so I can max out the front end hydraulics without lifting the rear wheels .

Wow Kevin! If I had a conveyor I'd have conveyor envy right now. Nice job as usual.:handshake:

Used some aluminum ridge vent to make a temporary chute , wanted to see how it would work before I get steel . Conveyor worked great , Got a nice 8 ft high pile in the barn . Had to stop and move some wood down as it started to back up . Very happy with the conveyor, next I’ll make a permanent chute .

This is all dead ash . I do have a plan for “ green “ wood . With windows ( openings) all the way around the barn , I’ll stack the green stuff outside for a few years and then come fall just put the conveyor close to the wood and load her up .
