Not a great day here. Physical for me and 2 MRI's for wife. Naturally the MRI has to be done in the big city and the time sucks. Will be driving in the dark and my eye doesn't like that any more but can handle it if need be.

A bit chilly outdoors and expected to stay like this all day or get colder. Then we'll be heading the other way in a couple of days with some 40's predicted.

ole I'm glad you are getting those tires for her. That had to be awful finding that many nails and flat tires.

wildwest I hope that new vehicle works out great for you.

I hope traffic isn't bad out of the city. I'm sure you'll be careful.

I switched to Mickey Thompson Deegan 38's on the Bronco. Two good friends of mine are sponsored by MT with their race cars, and get tires free. They gave them the Deegans, and they had nothing but good things to say about them. One got over 50k in his Chevy 3500, which is a fete for how he drives.

They seem to have pretty good traction plowing too.

Thanks Molly. Should not be bad coming out as it will probably be close to 7:00 pm when we get out of there. Well, we'll get to see some Christmas lights and the city does a big display at the Water Works building and we should be going right past that. Roses have thorns but are still pretty.

Headed back in to work this morning. Only three days left before Christmas break and I have things to do to tidy up before the break. I am feeling much better and a shower this morning will definitely help. Thanks for all the get well wishes.

I'm going to be using more Cooper tires when I have the opportunity to. They are made in the USA.

I also like the Falken tires, but I don't think those are made here. We've got wildpeak AT's on the 4runner and they are wearing well, they group great in everything, and are quiet on the freeway. They even work well in super sloppy slick clay mud.

I have Cooper Discover AT tires on the Highlander. They have been on two years. They have just under 30k on them. It looks as if I should get another year out of them which will put me around 45k miles. There advertised as a 50k mile tire I think so that's not that bad. It still is strange because I don't tow that often with it. I don't stop and go. Usually 50-60 mph two lane roads little braking. And I have one size larger than factory and when you look at the load limit per tire I am WAY under max capacity. Maybe like 50% of their capacity. So I would think they would last at least the claimed mileage? Oh well I got them cheap on a fall sale off eBay fro DTD and got $100 back rebate from Cooper ( they do the rebates every year so don't buy if not in the rebate period).

I put Hankooks on our 2006 Honda Accord and I was shocked to see the tires were made in the USA. Same with the Michelin’s we put on our 2013 Tiguan.

I've shared this here before, but my cousin bought a 1985 Ford Ranger 4x4 brand new...it came with Goodyear Wranglers on it...he put 125k miles on those tires! :bug:

Yeah, they have a plant near here...I had Cooper CS5's on our Honda Odyssey, and liked them...I went to replace them and while getting a quote from the local Ford store (hard to beat them on tire prices these days!) they said they will not sell me a Cooper tire...said they used to sell them all the time, but then they started having catastrophic failures all too often with them, and Cooper wouldn't stand behind them, so no more Coopers, of any type. And I am friends with the service manager, also worked with him at another Ford store years back, so I know he wasn't yanking my chain...matter of a fact, him sharing this info with me meant they lost out on the sale...he said he'd rather lose business than put faulty tires on any customers vehicle.
    Ended up with Yokohama's...

The tires that are on the rav 4 when I bought it with 41K on the odometer now have 50k miles on them! Goodrich, I believe.

No...but he does take very good care of his vehicles...tire pressure, rotations, doesn't drive aggressively...and it may have seen more snow that your average vehicle later on as he moved to Breckenridge Colorado then...
