I don't remember who was asking for a report on my new Air Innovations humidifier MH-901 DA, but over the weekend I bought another one.

    new humidifier with telescope.jpg

Pros: I really like the convenience of the top fill. No dripping water on the floor as I carry the tank to/from the sink. No having to make sure it is positioned "just so" so that the unit doesn't leak on the table. The tank is nice and big and being able to direct the moisture in two different directions is great. It is very quiet and turns itself off if it runs dry. A huge improvement with the top fill is I can actually clean the entire tank unit as I can reaqch my hand in thru the top to wipe a sponge against the bottom. Bottom fill tanks are a PITA to clean.

They have also changed the control positions from the older, smaller Air Innovations that I have. The change was simple but makes a big difference to me because related controls are near each other and in a more intuitive position.

Controls for the new humidifier - The on/off button on left at top, then underneath it is the mist control, then the humidistat is under that. Compare to the old humidifier . . .

The on/off button on top left (same as new), but the delay start is next, then the mist. I was always hitting the delay start instead of the mist controller because it makes sense to me that the mist controller would be next to the on/0ff.

Cons': Okay, so if the tank was not top filling, then it would only take one trip to the sink to fill the 1.6 gal capacity. I use 3 trips with the container I use to fill it. However, I don't mind that as much as the other hassles of using a bottom fill tank - just putting it out there.

In case anyone is interested, I found them for $55 (+7.50 S/H) thru QVC. The caveat is that they only have pink and blue, but the blue works for me. Additionally, if you are a first time customer, they offer the code "Holiday" to receive $5 off your first order (the amount seems to change as I got $15 off when I ordered). And then cash back sites offer 1-2% back too. Even paying S/H, I ended up paying just under $48 which was about half the price that I paid for the black one.

Welp, The ride in was uneventful until I hit the state trucks that backed up the traffic. Slowed to a crawl and then took the same off ramp as me. Figures both decided to do K-turns as we all waited..............

Finished blowing the white chit. Only 4-5" and nice and light so I was able to put the machine in mach 4 and zoom thru all of it in just at an hour. Naturally the road plow just came thru and gave me a berm. I already took off my snow pants, hat, gloves and Carhardt jacket so it will just sit there until tomorrow. It also started snowing again and the driveway is already covered.

UPS just came by and dropped off bird food I ordered a couple of days ago. He said I got lucky as he wasn't going to deliver any more, but he couldn't make it up Bear Hill (the road across from mine off the main road), but he saw my road is flat so I was his last delivery. Don't blame him. The roads are snow covered again and since they salted it's probably slick. Add someone who isn't familiar to the area, driving a U-haul truck, trying to find addresses and driveways at night, yeah, not a good mix.

He should wear clothes with big pockets. A handful here, a handful there... Leave the place 40 lbs heavier....

    The numbers are no biggy.
I hit 60 and thought...WOW this getting old thing is a piece of cake.....Uhhhh, then came the cancer and the stroke.
67 now and it has been a bumpy ride for the past 7 years.

    Do not hurry the process.

I would love to step back to 50 if I could....I was a great time...

But time marches on and it does not wait for any of us...

I was cruising along, enjoying life too then I had some health issues that resulted in a diagnosis of MS at 61. I could have just accepted it and sat in my chair demanding people help me but one of my neurologists sat me down and told me I could do one of two things. I could feel sorry for myself or I could get up off my butt and do whatever I could do to get better. Because of general weakness I had sold my motorcycle but I always dreamed of the long rides I used to take. I decided that that was going to be my goal. It took 4 years but last Fall I bought a 2007 BMW R1200RT using the money I had put aside from the sale of my last bike. I am now looking forward to a repeat trip to Texas next year. My takeaway is your life is in your hands and never give up. I am not back to normal and probably never will be but I am no longer focused on how bad my life was rather what I can do to make it better.

No sir and I have to work this weekend as well both Saturday and Sunday so no trip again . The shutdown ends this Sunday the systems go back online so next weekend I should be able to head up if they are open , well that is if the process piping company gets it done one of the critical valves is held up in the UK ! They have come up with every excuse and continue to so If the systems don't go back online there will be hell to pay , I might just get into my truck and not come back ....

Wind chill temps tonight -15/ -20 tonight will be smoking through some pellets in this old house.

Some **** was kind enough to hit my truck while it was parked. Passenger door crunched in a bad spot. Needs a new door.

A out of norm deep freeze hanging around, -20*F without wind chill :shiver: then it's gonna warm up to normal or above for the holidays :dennis:
Both stoves running to help on the heat load, I'm only running the Fahrenheit on #4 instead of max of #5.
Lots of cold cracking noises outside including my deck attached to the house :startled:
