It's been a while since I posted here but I need some help with a large pile of oak I had dropped off on my neighbors property.
Long story short, I didn't realize how much I was getting and now I need help getting it moved.
It is all red, white and black oak. Limbed and stacked in a pile. Maybe 10 full cords or more. I only want about 5 or six cords for my self.
I am in the Cedar Brook area, 08009 zip code. We should be able to get to the pile with a pick up truck but it is a little tight, it was dumped in a wooded patch in front of my house. I may be able to lend a hand or make my splitter available.
I'll try to get some pictures up but I've been scrounging for about 12 years now and I never got this lucky, except I don't want to impose on my neighbors any more then I have too.
Thanks, and I hope I will be able so help someone out on this site before I go to Craig's List.

Ok, I added pictures. The pictures make it look like less then it is in person somehow.

Ok, I just went out and measured. All measures are approximate. 25' wide, 4' +- high and length varies from 8' to 10 '. Some is over 12' long.
I figure close to 8 cords maybe 9 because I measured conservatively, so at the very least someone here could get a couple cords.

This is a great offer! Though outside of my radius for wood hauling, I hope some fellow Jerseyan jumps on it!

Actually that would be perfect. I really don't want to hit it until after Christmas since I'll have family staying here all week.

Drop me a PM and I'll give you my details.

I suggest blocking and selling it unsplit. Still a lot of work, but if you have the equipment and back it could be some quick cash

That's a two hour one way drive for me. And that's on a non-traffic day. I think the last non-traffic day in New Jersey was back in the 1940's.

For a trailer load of oak with access like that, 2 hours each way wood be nothing, I’d be on that like a pack of dogs on a 3 legged cat. Unfortunately it’s probably closer to 22 hours each way. Sadly, I’ll have to pass :(

You're in a state where Oak is something of a rarity, no? Grows like a weed around here and my property is littered with it. Honestly, I'm not sure I'd go that distance around here for a truckload of Black Locust. That distance in New Jersey is like running the gauntlet of ten thousand idiots. One moron has an accident, it turns into a six hour drive home.

I saw the wood signal in the sky last night. That’s 75 miles one way for me and a major toll. Long trip for a Zombie hoard. If u really need help, I’ll make the trip. Let me know where u stand this weekend. Whooooooood!
