Does it always snow like that in the winter? I never used to pay attention until I joined this site. You have been getting hammered.

I had a friend that lived in Albany, New York. She told be that towards the end of winter she got really sick of the snow and that it would be dirty from all the soot etc. Here most of the winter is bare ground.

To whoever wired this house, from the bottom of my heart, $%^ you. I just spent about 2 hours tracing down the most unbelievably awful wiring job I've ever seen. I ended up abandoning and re-running everything but a couple 3 way switch wires.

Now the "extra" switch by the front door and garage door switches outlets in the soffit to turn Christmas lights on and off.

Wow. That sounds like no fun. You are correct. My daughters would be sick of that much snow. Hopefully when it warms up in the spring it's gradually so there is no flooding.

Update on FJ, they dropped the ball on windshield, so it's now scheduled for the 18th, hope to get it home eventually, Duramax was :shiver:

But for the young ones it is great. Boys get dollars for mowing lawns in summer. During winter they make money by shoveling snow off roofs. When they are done shoveling, then they get to play in the snow too!

Well wildwest I did have my 2nd santa appearance last evening. And you know how I like to give out gifts!:santa:

Actually the first year I played santa, I was going to buy a bunch of candy canes and then hand them out. Upon further consideration, I thought maybe 60% or so would go into diabetic shock so I nixed that idea.

Now, I just hand out contact information for all the other retired folks here on FHC! :p

Well, after a short rest, I got back up there and started in again.

99 lbs came home and helped out also. So, now you're going to have two sore people!

I (we) got it all finished and cleaned up so the next project for snow removal is the cottage driveway and roof. Not looking forward to that one either!
