Wife and I drove down to the big city tonight for some supplies. Walmart is selling these tiny pine bundles for 8 dollars!!!! I count six, tiny splits in that bundle on top. And it’s not like pine firewood is hard to come by in Colorado. It’s literally Just lying around everywhere here. 8 bucks! 8 buuucks.... Eight buuuuuuuuuucks.....
Well yeah,.... that's the "everyday Low Price" ! Dollar store in Georgetown has a big sign- Firewood-$1 per stick. Always sold out. (I'm greedy like that..)
They are out of Rusk Tx.... Talked to him a few years ago ...I think it was $2.50 a bundle by the semi load.....usually goes for 5.99 to 6.99 at stores around here.....The wood is not heat treated so I don't know how they are transporting to other states...but maybe just to states that do not have invasive species/ tree disease restrictions yet. $8 comes out to $1575 a cord......that even beats me!!!
Good thread - Who can find the most expensive firewood? Shouldn't include anything meant to be decorative. IE:$20 white birch logs.
Well, some of that money has to make it all the way to the top in Benton, AK Wouldn’t want him to not by his third vacation home in Switzerland. Share tha bundle love
Pretty sure Midwinter found a few of those last year..........insane! My local big box stores are selling a bundle for $6 - 8$ range usually!
