Hello guys and sorry if this has been asked before but I honestly do not know how to search for threads of days past.
Anyhow any one know approx volume of wood in a truck & pup filled with logs?I am told the wood is between 4"&18"Dia and lengths up to 20 feet.

Not sure about truck & pup?

Are you referring to a tri-axle load of logs?

I believe around here a tri-axle load is generally around 7 cord.

The pup is a 5-cord trailer on the tri-axle (5+7).

Thanks for that info I get closer to your number volume wise at 12 per truck& pup verse the 16 that the guy is saying& at 125 per cord x12=$1500 and even if I did get 16 cord @125 it should be $2000

Doing a search should not be that hard but for some reason I struggle on this forum. One who can help for sure though is our own Eric VW. He is good with the searches.

16 cord is a lot for a truck and pup.

It's running $110 a cord here for mixed delivered. Oak, Maple, Ash, Elm, Birch. Most loads are 12 cord. If you want to buy it off the deck you can save $50 per cord. Pure oak loads are getting charged more because everybody and their brother believes it's the best there is.

assuming your $2300 is in Canadian would equal $1700+ in US $
that sounds good to me for 16 cords.
    unless they're metric cords...;)
