Thank you sir. It felt good to be back on the wood yard. I grew up right here where we live now. I went to tech school and moved to a bigger city outside of Atlanta for several years. I was so glad when my first marriage ended and I could move back here...I don't want to be or live anywhere that makes me lose my identity...hope you can find that quiet spot and enjoy your retirement.

Yep, got that raise I've been asking for... ...in all seriousness...I was so glad he got me that high, especially on that dead pine, next to mom's electric service drop... about 10' away.

Well, it has been a great year so far at the Goat Town Wood Yard. Had about 11 cords when all the sheds were full in Sept. We have 2 face cord of 18" left and 1 cord of 16" that is spoken for already. Picked up a few new customers this year, one fellow has a Hardy OWB, he will take tulip poplar and fire pit wood, dump trailer load. Another repeat customer wants a stacked on dump trailer load, got to get to cutting again. Just some of our fun this fall. 1226191141_HDR.jpg 1224190945.jpg IMG_20191219_113540657.jpg IMG_20191214_101853583_HDR.jpg
    Just our little operation...

It would be a good area to put a new storage/utility building, for mower and saw shop.

Had a productive day, had 2 loads to deliver in the same area of the county, so, we loaded up the dump trailer... 1230191039_HDR.jpg When we got back, CSS some smoking/cooking wood for pick up later rhis week. Pecan, hickory and cherry. 1230191659.jpg Yes, I noodled some of the pecan, several big pieces were crotches. Made some nice fire starting material... 1230191659a.jpg

Thanks buddy. I don't normally noodle. We were using the older splitter, it's blade doesn't slice like the new splitter. Those pieces were better off cut

That's neat how you separated the two loads in the dump trailer!

Thanks, had two tall rows left in a rack. After stacking 2 rows on the trailer, I checked it using the handy calculator on here. Equals a shade over .3 cord...so still have a little in the rack. Still had to unload by hand...

Aww, I was hoping you had it rigged somehow to dump the back stack without the front stack tipping as well!
