I have used this inside sheds; the first time was in the 60's on a weasel. Works great and recommend it highly.

Also puts the move on those browsers that get into the flowers/gardens occasionally!

Ive since put a home made baffle made from siding aluminum trim sheet on the pipe which is a piece on conduit. She had greased it prior with vaseline but didnt work. Just snapped this pic. Baffle will slide down with snow load as a zip tie holding it up. IMG_1465.JPG
Interesting coincidence Chuck. I get a call yesterday from a regular customer for a squirrel getting into the attic. Have appt Friday to check it out. Ill recommend your shed as a good place to relocate!

Dude he's in NJ, a freaking air rifle is considered a firearm here. :picard:

I've never seen rat shot before. I might have to look into it. I liked the sub-sonic rounds (wink wink).

I used a live trap that i got from tsc, using a narrow strip of duct tape, taped a regular mouse trap with peanut butter on the trigger mechanism. I then used a pole with a hook on the end of it to place it on the top of my headers in my barn. Screenshot_2019-12-06-15-13-39.png

Had some squirrels crawling into the garage (side seal of garage door) and then getting into the crawl space. From there, they got into the attic. Set out a live trap and caught and got rid of two. No more squirrels, right?

A few months later, same thing. Used the same live trap method and disposal method until 99 phoned and said there is a squirrel in the live trap, what should I do?

Leave it I'll be home and take care of it just like the others.

Got home, trap was empty. She said it just looked too sad and scared in there so I let it go!

Must've worked because we never had trouble again.

BTW, had new garage doors and weather stripping installed so there's no more gaps!

How did you make out with the squirrel removal ReelFaster ? Try the moth balls yet? I went yesterday to do the job had i mentioned. Couple holes they chewed in the trim on a big Victorian house. 32' ladder barely reached. Left moth balls in the holes. Have to make sure they are gone before i patch holes with metal. Its late in the day and a squirrel had returned. He wasnt expecting me to be near his home and got scared when he saw me. Scampered along the roof edge and jumped to a tree. Luckily i didnt get scared as i was on top of the ladder!

You know what buZZsaw BRAD he up and left............Yep I didn't do a darn thing, I think me coming out there grabbing wood everyday ticked him off. He did make a bit of a mess as he brought in a bunch of leaves, twigs, etc... but no harm no foul. But I got moth balls in the back of my mind going forward to give it a try should I ever need

Thats great news. Presence of a "predator threat" scared him away!
Sounds like he was building a nest. Dunno if they use it for themselves or prior to mating/raising youngs uns?
Ill tell the ones im evicting your place is off limits!
Hope that oak score works out well for ya! Post a thread when you get it!:ithappened:

Hahahah...........Yeah I made sure when I went in to grab some wood to make a bunch of noise and disturb him a bit. Seemed to have done the trick!!! Sure was a pretty big nest he/she built, glad it's gone.

You don't get threads like that too often. I mean what are the chances of someone being that close to me, potential for a great score! I'll surely take some off his hands and post some pics....

Air rifle? The municipal terrorists consider a sling shot a firearm here.
From one perspective, the only law has any bearing on my property is my law. Out in public, different thing, to some extent. From another perspective, we're in a state that has an average population density of over 1200 people per square mile... That's average. Some places just a few hundred per, other places 15,000+ per square mile. Unless he's in the Pine Barrens, he likely has several hundred immediate neighbors that would not appreciate gun fire that close.

Those are a favorite of mine.

I've always taken a Taoist perspective on things & dislike killing without good reason. Having taken roof damage during a storm, when I was too sick to get it taken care of, wound up with a squirrel party in my attic. Put up the live traps, effective for a couple but the rest just continuously set off the traps and weren't in them. After a couple weeks of sleep deprivation and destruction of my attic, insulation, electrical wiring... Went up with dad's old Smith revolver, loaded with those shotshells. Problem solved in 20 minutes.
Couldn't fix the damage for a while so put up the wiring with an electric fence charger. :axe: Turns out, they do learn fast.
