I was looking at this one yesterday morning when i got the call for the free wood so i dropped everything. I didn't think it looked that big in the pic so I didn't take any long bar saws. One of the biggest ash trees I ever saw. Gonna take a 36" bar or bigger for the trunk. It's about 5 miles North of Dillsburg. Mechanisburg FB if your interested.

Not much of the usual top crap to clean up on that one. Must have self pruned while it was dead or someone cleaned lit up already?

BTU's just waiting for a new owner!

been my experience most scroungers ive seen dont like/take the big stuff for the logistics involved. They have average saws too.
I go back and forth on big stuff. Makes splits fast but a bear to move.

I see the same with large stuff. Last ash scrounge for me, guys were taking smaller stuff. They said you would need a tractor to be able cut the big logs. I was kind of like, huh? But you' re right, those huge rounds can be PITA to move.
