I heard that someone shot a Bald Eagle, and now there is a Federal Game Warden pulling Hunters over left and right!!

And some guy from Montana just got caught poaching on a Farmer's land Near Oakes ND. The farmer chased after him but he got away with a buck. Luckily the farmer got pictures of the license plate and they caught him. He was also wanted in Montana for poaching there too.

I don't think you are even permitted to have an eagle feather in possession, unless it was gifted from a tribal member.

There was one hit on an interstate in Connecticut a few months back. Was on the local news. Sadly it had to be put down a few days later.
Unfortunate that this happened and gives honest hunters a bad rap. Hope he/she gets caught and they throw the book at em!

You cant even touch an eagle let alone have any of it's parts in your possession. Only was around this is if your a member of a native tribe or have a permit to posess endangered species material. And a permit specific to that species

My god, the irony. The Bald Eagle, symbol of American (Freedom)?...

Just so nobody takes this wrong, I am in no way in support of anybody, for any reason, shooting Eagles. Not trying to knock anybody else either. Just can't stand watching my grandkid's freedom going extinct without so much as a whimper.

I don’t want to start seeing eagles be hunted, but I couldn’t agree with your sentiment more.

Liberty. Why have we let it go?

Yes, but shooting and killing a bald eagle, the symbol of American freedom and national bird, is what brings down wrath from federal game wardens. Harsh? Meh....don’t care. If people don’t like this country one of their many freedoms is to move out. Only a goober shoots a bald eagle. No sympathy from me. Not into flag burning, not into killing bald eagles. There are far better examples of our freedoms being encroached upon than wrath from the feds over shooting a bald eagle... just sayin.

It is nice to see that bald eagles are coming back in their numbers. But, it doesn't mean that they should be shot.

Or from owning or posessing their parts. Once it becomes legal to own an eagle talon for the normal American there now becomes a market for them. For people to think it's cool to own a symbol of freedom and if you have never seen or held one they are VERY impressive , there LONG and SHARP, but anyway once it's legal to own that creates a market for them and at that point they will be illegally hunted to sell parts since it's legal to own them.

And therein lies the problem. When a people believe the government they created, has some divine right to "bring down wrath" upon them, and not just the one who did something wrong, but anybody who happens to be in the area, within eyeshot of the all powerful, omnipotent FEDERAL WARDEN (sound thunderclaps & lightning bolts!), then those people's minds are already subjugated and their freedoms long since already gone.

Again, I am in no way whatsoever, by any definition, under any circumstances, advocating shooting or otherwise killing Eagles for any reason at all. And I agree, anyone that does, should be prosecuted. That person, for that crime. But to live in fear of "the wrath" of the almighty glorified Hall Monitor, cause he might "find you in possession" of a feather, from a dead bird you found on the side of the road, is ridiculous.

The entire thing is based on the premise that the government, federal or otherwise, can at their own will and discretion, because there is some, yet another, immaculate cause that requires it, ignore the constitutional boundaries that allows that government the peoples consent to exist in the first place and start violating the sacrosanct & inherent birthrights of the American People. It's an insult to the men & women who sacrificed everything to throw off the first tyrants to allow another to grow out of our own complacency & under the guise of "we are doing it to keep you safe".

Men don't live under other men, slaves do.

I do not know why it is that a certain percentage of the population that thinks the laws we have do not pertain to them and they go about breaking as many of them as they can.
I say prosecute them to the full extent of the law.
