Hey Erik...I'm I guess West-Central. I live in Eau Claire but the family farm where I spend a good amount of time making firewood is down in Buffalo County near a tiny little spec of a town called Waumandee....lol...don't blink if driving thru, you'll miss it.
I like buckin for the vintage saws he runs. HUMAN is another good one I haven’t seen mentioned he’s a climber and I think he’s hilarious but then I have a strange sense of humor.
Nice bro, i just subbed a few weeks ago, kept hearing JPF say your name, you definitely belong here. Got an amazing group of people here.
Welcome to the club. Lots of great folks here sharing knowledge and humor. I'll have to check out your channel. Hope you have a blessed and wonderful day
He is a great faller. Used to watch him a good bit. Finally got in touch with him about some saw work, that was an eye-opener. Like an FBI questionnaire. Checked me out like I was a top secret agent. Even found me on this forum, I was friends with Kevin (huskil) and had asked him about doing a saw for me. Jack turned me down...
Back 40 Firewood You are not that far away. I am just a bit north of La Crosse. Yup, I have heard of Waumandee. Spent part of growing up years in Pigeon Falls. Few weeks ago we were at a lutefisk supper at a church just outside of Nelson.
Why in the world would he turn down work just because you knew another saw builder? That is confusing to me. To each his own I suppose.
There's another good youtube channel, nothing to do with wood , but, he's got a good personality, and he's a 5th generation farmer in Minnesota , its called Millennial Farmer. He's a young guy and no doubt puts in some Longggggg hours in the fields with his dad and the hired hands. I've really enjoyed it. Give it a try, think you guys would enjoy it, i do not have anything to do with him, don't know him, just enjoy his youtube video's
He said he was very particular about who he did work for. Guess he didn't want anyone to copy his work.
