Well I replaced the tc and the stove will do a start up. After the start up it doesn’t continue feeding pellets. Now what?

Are you getting enough pellets in the initial pellet dump to heat up the TC?

It starts up and never continues to dump pellets. It goes out after a while and shuts down.

How large is the fire in the pot? For testing purposes you can open the feed gate up all the way

I added some pellets before the initial start up to see if that would help and it still doesn’t want to keep feeding after start up.

Do any lights come on the control box during startup?

I will see. I ran back home to get the new board to see if that makes a difference. I put the old one back in it.

With the new board in it will do a start up then it flashed yellow then shut down. Then the thermostat calls for heat so it will fire up again.

Yellow/amber is thermocouple... Just making sure but you did put the new yellow and red thermocouple wires back in the correct orientation on the terminal block?

I just tried it without being hooked to a thermostat and it did it’s start up and quit dropping pellets. No lights and it is still running and the room fan is still going.

So basically it’s not calling for more heat. It’s doing a start up and then it never starts feeding pellets with the new or old board in. Is there a heat switch that my be bad?

Sorry to jump in here slvrbikk, but not being hooked to thermostat or thermocouple? If thermocouple, it's same thing as if the tc was bad. Either tc is bad, or not sticking in pot at least 3/4" and touching the inside end of the cover, to read temps correctly. kap

Or you have a broken/frayed thermocouple wire on the stove wiring harness possibly???

I unhooked it from the wall thermostat and jumped it where the thermostat hooks up to see what it would do. The thermocouple is brand new and has the porcelain cover on and is pushed over the burn pot an inch or so.

Can you time it and see how long, on startup, the pellets feed? Should be 98 seconds ish.......
