Hey. I do like that scooper you got there. I've been using my wife's pink iced tea pitcher to her dismay
Picked up some of the Virginia Goldens (private label EZB) at TSC and I have to say they are burning exceptionally well. Seems EZB is really on their game this season.
Energex blend with 30% corn in the Fahrenheit and Granulco swd in the Accentra waiting to help with any cold snap
I’ve got the same one. I like it cuz it fits in my pellet bucket, holds a crap ton of pellets, and is super sturdy.
Probly not.. But I am not in that camp. I pour mine into a 5 gallon bucket, then to hopper.. Just more control for me, less floppy. Oh... I also have a hood over my stove, so there is not much room between it and the wall.. Bag method just not that handy "for me".. Everyone to their own poison.. Dan
I have the cutest little wife. Love her to death. But, the 40 pound bags are a bit much for her to control when she dumps them in. They usually end up all over the floor. So I just make it easy for her.
Pour mine into a nice cooper bucket, kid tries from bag and the dogs get some extra treats sometimes.
I have a bin that I can dump 6 bags in it's actually a cedar chest *looks around* still have not built the pine one the wife wants, then I use the same galvanized feed bucket others have pictured above. I like the pellets to be in the stove room a bit to be nice and dry when they hit the stove and also if I were to remind my wife when it gets into the sub zero temps to load the stove while I am at work she can do it without straining herself. Where I store my pellets during burning season is my cellar and it is a damp basement not to the point they get damaged but that is also during heating season I have the second stove running in the cellar drying it out but them sitting in the bin in the stove room dries them out totally if they still have any dampness. Works well for me . Oh burning just LaCretes during these few warm days and the funky Vermonts in the cellar stove when burning .
I bring a bag over to the stove, slice off the top and dump the bag in. Since I have hopper extensions on both stoves, I use metal step stools so that I don't have to haul the bag over my shoulder. 2-step for the P61a, and a single step for the P43.
