My tree guy came through again, some leftovers by the curb about 25 miles away. I got the call, put on my hoarding clothes that haven’t been washed in weeks and ran out the door screaming “whoooooooood!” Got me a trailer load of some heavy maple. Looks like sugar to me. Threw in an extra pic of the oak i hoarded on Thursday. What say u? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Splitting and stacking next weekend. Had to run out and get my tailgating foods ready for Iggles game tomorrow. Darn, was hoping for some sugar...oh well, free maple is good. Whooooooood! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
Hard to tell which it is but Norway is still decent wood. Better than red maple and splits easier than sugar. Either way great score! Way to go Zombie!
Mature bark similar to ash. Big leaves that turn yellow in the Fall and last to drop. Common on property lines in urban areas as saplings grow unchecked. Wood snaps easier than any other maple in wind and snow load. Better BTU's than red maple! Seasons fast too!
