Large Tongue in groove

    What is this, its about 4x4 inch size or so. Only thing that came to mind is for making board roads. Which are used in oilfield drilling and also in logging. Saw this at a place that makes posts and some rough lumber.

    There's a guy around here that sells logs milled like that as Log Home Kits.

    Have also seen then as staves in wooden vats for apple juice/vinegar.

    See them used as old factory flooring around here. Anything not concrete (multiple story’s) will be made of that.

    You’ll also find similar in old water towers. Cypress was big down south. You’d be able to figure out if it’s designed for a radius by close examination.
    They still make cypress for water tower rebuilds. Can’t even remember why but I read a few articles on it. I think there were like two companies in the US that go around fixing water towers.
    I was surprised when I stayed at a high hotel in Manhattan just how many of those things still exist.
