Bought a new/used hauler after running a Tacoma for 12 years. I hate HATE spending money on this type of thing. The frugality of firewood is a big point of enjoyment for me.

Got me thinking. Seems to be a couple of camps on this issue. Firewood hoarders that are very frugal and those who use the hoarding as reason for new toys and gadgets!

Either camp is good in my eye. Keep it local and keep the oil man away

I have a Tundra and a Tacoma. Look for many years of good service out of them.

Firewood let's you pay for the toys! It's like net even BUT those toys can always be sold and have value.

    There, I justified your Tundra.

Now.... what's it going to tow?

Nice truck. I’m at both ends of the spectrum I guess. I have the tractor, chipper, splitter, etc to help with firewood, but I drive a 2010 Silverado I bought new and it just rolled 48k so and I’m not planning on replacing it for at least another decade. I just dropped it off for the annual oil change, inspection, and fluid film treatment. 3k since last year’s appointment

Nice!! As mentioned, you should get many many years of reliable service out of that truck. I have an 03 and its been great. Almost at 180k and aside from routine maintenance, I’ve put a new set of front brake calipers on and had the rotors turned. That’s about all. The only downside to the new ones is mileage. My dad has one and it guzzles.

Nice wood hauler. Sometimes it takes money to save money.

Good choice! My T100 works fine but I've really had the itch to upgrade to a newer, used Tacoma or Tundra. The prices are outrageous though.

YES! We have a deal! We'll trade your beautiful hurking new Tundra for my "Tojo" a 1986 Toyota Pickup with 370,000 miles on it. You'll feel so much better!!! Especially when you dent it.
Seriously - that's a great truck you got - I'd keep it 100 years if I were you!

I should add in all fairness that Tojo rarely leaves the hills we live in, most firewood comes from right on the property so that makes it easier to get XX loads a day.
