Took several pictures because you all tell the new members how much we like them. So instead of posting each one in a different previous thread, I thought we could play a little game. How many and which threads are covered by today’s pictures?? C5F15B2C-BD01-40D5-8358-5B9B79CBE744.jpeg

Nicely done sir! Lot of work to harvest that. Nice that all the limbs broke on impact. Did you have to clean it all up too?
Will that be burned this season?

Yes on the clean up. Actually there’s far more bark than limbs & twigs. 95% of the bark is coming off in sheets after it hit the ground. Didn’t finish cleaning up today (ran out of daylight) but is much easier than I thought it might be. There is an old burn pile maybe 30 feet away from where the top of tree landed, so just sweep it all over to it, then come back when we got snow cover and burn it. It also landed on gravel driveway so no raking grass. Still got the stump & trunk to deal with tomorrow. I’ll probably have to burn some of it this season.

I have to admit the elm out there looks a lot different than our elm, but it probably burns as well.

On the picture, I can tell there aren't many old farmers on here but I won't spoil it for the OP. I've used those things a lot but a long time ago.

I believe it is a corn or grain separator from back in the day. But seems Backwoods Savage knows so maybe he’ll let us know for certain

It's a hammer mill. Not, that is not for grinding hammers but for grinding feed for cows, hogs, chickens, etc.

Aha, never saw one that looked like that. I have one in my garage but the exhaust/exit is on the side.
