I had been working on project “ keep warm” for a little while. I built this out of mostly scrap lumber, I did buy some new lumber and I bought new tin. 6’x7’ and 6.5’ tall. I built it tough because I wanted to put it on a trailer and move it around the fields.
I painted the inside black. Put in a tiny woodstove. I put it on a flat rack for mobility. The tiny woodstove heats this small space no problem! So far I’m happy with it.
Nice work! Being out of the wind, rain, snow helps a lot, having a fire inside helps a ton. With a set up like that, and FHC on my phone, I could spend all day waiting for the big buck.
Store it in the backyard. Blind, fishing shack, and Dog House! Much nicer than where my Wife usually sends me!
I agree very nice! Might need to wear hearing protection when you squeeze off a cartridge in there? Can be deafening and ring your bell pretty good in a small space.
That's cool! You need to paint it in 3D camo. I'm guessing it doesn't take much for that little stove to heat that up.
It’s mostly finished. Currently it’s in use, I’ll bring it up after the season is over and I have a few ideas to improve it, like shelves. I do want to camp paint the outside, I ran out of time for this season. The wood stove does a good job of heating. I have found it hard to regulate, almost can’t choke the stove down enough to prevent overheating. I just load frequent small batches or open a window.
