    It must be a slow growing tree. There is a hickory near the shed that was there when we built it. It doesn't seem much larger all these years later.

    I have a stand of Bitternut Hickory, I love burning it, but I hate cutting it. Why? Cause I like burning other peoples wood more!:rofl: :lol: I only cut my Hickory when I'm short on donated, found, and scavenged wood. How you know it's Bitternut is, the yellow buds in the spring, and bright yellow leaves in the fall. The buds are the giveaway.
