Some say, to this day... Andy8850 is still out there splitting logs with his new splitter.... Or, He was going to tell us about it, but then he split.
Lol! I have had only about 2 full hours on this machine since I got it, it has rained here almost every day since I got it, I was away for the whole memorial day weekend, which the weather was beautiful by the way but beteeework and kids and rain I haven’t really had any time to really put her to the test, but I have a pretty good back log of wood bucked up and ready to go...,, supposed to be nice this weekend in northwest nj soon am hoping to be able to give you guys a solid review, it’s actually raining here right now, with flash flood and tornado warnings.. I didn’t split!! Full review Saturday if the weather gods prevail!!
Alright, so I spent a good four hours today running the Wolfe ridge and over all I am very pleased, it’ll split anything without hesitation, I am splitting some of the biggest, nastiest, stringy hickory I have ever seen and it was a pleasure with 4 way. Ran for a full 4 hours with only one refill on fuel, started with a full tank, made a lot of firewood in a short time, my only complaint so far is I wish the catch table was a little bigger and the log lift a wider and some kind of cage protecting the engine cause if you lose a big round it can land right on the air filter housing and fuel tank..... more to come
Looking good, it's amazing what a difference a big splitter & log lift make. Catch tray isn't wider because a big piece with a knot etc. can catch it & smash it. As for the engine cover/guard, I agree. My lift is opposite side.
A beast of a splitter, quartered up a bunch of stringy hickory tonight, getting it ready for the 6 way wedge, I love this machine
