That is an, uh, unconventional way to remove a stump. :MM:

And yes, I did expect a debate on which position is better. Lol :D

Looks like the hitch coupler may have failed. I hope you were able to salvage it. Don't look to damaged.

Is this something like the toilet spinning opposite when flushing south of the equator?

I know the water flows different. But I have to say I am appalled at what Coriolis effect does to splitters down under!

    Exactly!!

leoht , I still want to know how that exactly happened. I'm having a hard time trying to figure it out.o_O

Then again we don't have Vegemite, wallabies, dingos, or the 8.5 billion kinds of poisonous critters you have.

Too fast across rough ground. No suspension & over they go. Turn it over drain the oil & let things settle out & she'll be fine.
BTW Chris, ya got me with the splitting position thing too.:D

Yes, but did the coupler break before it flipped, or did the flip break the coupler? I think the flip broke the coupler.

    Yes the coupler broke!

From what I was told he was towing it behind his 4x4 on rough ground and the drawbar bottomed out digging the jocky wheel of the splitter in to the ground which broke the coupler.

Unfortunately I think he had left the splitter engine running while he repositioned.
