Battery gizmo

    Anyone know what these brass things are, came with new ATV battery. The plastic holder was snapped onto the top of one of the terminals; the two bolts for the terminals were also snapped into this holder. I got the battery installed without whatever these are.[​IMG]

    Maybe they are needed with certain applications or to prevent corrosion? If you can hook up the battery without them throw them out! Good luck.

    Look like washers to me. Is the one side bent or flattened to fit against a flat where the leads screw to the terminals?

    Really? I always thought they were useless. I guess if the nut on the post is torquing the terminal then they have a use, but I haven't seen that happen.
